Android Application for non-CAN based Opel/Vauxhall model diagnostics.
ScanMyOpel features include:
- native support of Electronic control units used in Opel/Vauxhall cars, which distinguishes ScanMyOpel from many other diagnostic applications providing only limited generic OBDII support
- monitoring various dynamic parameters of engine, automatic transmission, ABS, EHPS, SRS, BCM
- reading of static data: ECU identification, fault codes with their current statuses and symptoms
- clearing of fault codes
- Displaying environment information on trouble codes where applicable
- Displaying nominal values of livedata parameters where applicable
- Displaying Livedata parameters charts (only 5 charts can be viewed simultaneously)
- Actuator tests for selected ECUs.

What languages are supported in the apps?
Currently applications support the following languages – English, Russian, Hungarian, Polish, German, Finnish, Spanish, Czech, Italian.
What hardware I need to use with the ScanMyOpel app?
ScanMyOpel(CAN) currently works with any ELM327-based Bluetooth interfaces.
Are there any recommended interfaces?
Yes, there are! The best results can be achieved with Bluetooth interfaces, based on genuine ELM327 v1.4 chip, and also with OBDLinkMX interface.
Proper connection with Chinese versions of ELM327, other then 1.4, is not guaranteed.

The application during connections shows message "Incompatible Interface". What does it mean?
At establishing connection with the Bluetooth interface the application sends special commands to setup the proper modes in the interface. If any of the commands is not accepted, the app will display message “Incompatible interface”. Usually this message caused by using poor-qulaity china-made ELM327 interfaces.

Do I need to have my phone connected to Internet in order to use ScanMyOpel apps?
Yes, you do need active internet connection, especially when you are using ScanMyOpelCAN application. Without internet connection it will not launch at all.
Other app's like Torque, Piston work properly, but your app does not. Why?
Other applications are just generic OBD2 compatible applications. They use just limited set of commands. Since our application uses genuine manufacturer’s communication protocol, like the one used at dealership, the requirements to the ELM interface are much higher.
